Louise Tucker

Louise Godbee Tucker was born to Barron Whitehead Godbee Sr. and Julia Jenkins Godbee in Vidalia, GA on May 1, 1929. Louise was raised in Vidalia and graduated from Valdosta State University in 1950. On October 14, 1950 Louise married Hal Beall Tucker in Vidalia. Louise and Hal shared 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Louise was a lifetime member of the D.A.R (Daughters of the American Revolution) and served on the wedding committee and sang in the choir at Myers Park United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. Louise is survived by her daughters, Julia Tucker Windham (spouse Steve Windham) and Mary Louise McDade; grandchildren Mark Tucker Windham (spouse Michelle Windham), Laura Windham Holcomb (spouse Chris Holcomb), Sarah McDade Morgan (spouse Robert Morgan),and Katie McDade Bruner (spouse Seth Bruner); great grandchildren Tucker Griffin Morgan, Cooper Ellis Morgan, Brianna Michelle Windham, and Jacoby Michael Bruner. Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Hal Tucker; her parents Barron and Julia Godbee; her brother Barron Godbee. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church.
