Lynnette Sue Swanson (Krambier) of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, in home hospice, with her mother and brother by her side. She was born on November 16, 1960, in Elgin, Illinois, and spent her childhood in Rolling Meadows. After moving to Georgia, she attended Henderson High School in Chamblee, graduated from Brenau College, and earned her master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
Lynnette dedicated her life to serving children with special needs. A long-time employee of the Gwinnett County School System, she was heavily involved with wheelchair sports and Special Olympics in Georgia and also on the national/international level. She served as a coach for volleyball and bocce and represented the United States at five World Games as a member of the U.S. delegation.
Outside of work and family, Lynnette’s biggest passion was playing tennis, and she was an active participant in both the ALTA and USTA organizations, pursuing the sport with joy and energy throughout her life.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Krambier; her brother, Dale Krambier; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Lynnette is reunited in heaven with her husband, Dave Swanson; her father, Carl Krambier; her sister, Sue Hamilton; and her brother, Robert Krambier.
Visitation and Memorial Service: Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM, with a reception to follow at Wages and Sons Funeral Home – Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
Her life was a testament to compassion, dedication, and love. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful, engaging smile and deeply missed by all who knew her
