Macy Barnett

Macy Chastain Barnett, age 89, a resident of Stone Mountain, GA for 50 years passed away Saturday July 22, 2017. Born February 19, 1928 in Anderson, SC to Minnie Hanks Chastain & John Frank Chastain. Macy hosted the dining room at Stone Mountain Inn for 20 years prior to retiring. After her retirement her and her husband Ollie Lee Barnett enjoyed traveling. She is predeceased in death by her husband Ollie Lee Barnett, brothers and sisters, Madge McClain, Clara Chastain, Louis Phillips, Thelma Gambrell, Nellie Pruitt Campbell, Gus Chastain, Guy Chastain, Ralph Chastain, Wade Chastain, Joe Chastain, many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her daughter, Shirley Lee Cox, Conyers, Ga; Her Grandson, Wilton W. Cox, II, Brandon, FL; Granddaughter, Macy Aaron Cox Warren-LeGood & her husband Simon LeGood, Great Grandson, Samuel Dane Warren, Great Granddaughter, Layla Claire LeGood, also special Family Friend Louis P. DiLello. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Pastor Ken Reed and Billy Crowell officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM.
