Margaret Louise Shaw

Margaret Louise Shaw, age 83, of Decatur, GA, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. Margaret was a founding member of Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church. She was a Bible study teacher and a faithful prayer warrior who loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lillie Mae Jones Thomas, and her husband of 58 years, Grady C. Shaw, Jr. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Karen Shaw of Lilburn, GA; a brother, James Carol Thomas; sisters, Rose Fuller, Bonnie English, Gladys Woodham, and Evelyn Zimmerman; her grandchildren, Brent Shaw, Kelley Shaw, Michael Shaw, and Kevin (Brooke) Shaw; a great-granddaughter, Addison Belle Shaw. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 24, 2017 at Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church, 3260 Covington Hwy., Decatur, GA with Rev. John Donaldson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s memory to Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church.
