Marilyn Inez Waters Duke

Marilyn Inez Waters Duke, age 87, of Loganville, GA formerly of Stone Mountain died Thursday, September 2, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Mattie Lou Waters; Husband Buren E. Duke, Jr.; 5 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by daughters, Arlene Stowe, Nashville, TN; Kathy John Ross, College Grove, TN; Linda Billy Thomas, Loganville, GA 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Mrs. Duke was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Stone Mountain and was retired from A& P Foods after 30 years. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 4:00 pm at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Rev. Thomas L. Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery, Stone Mountain. The following grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers, Tad Derrickson, Chris Stowe, Bradley Matlock, Jon Stowe, Mark Craven, Scott Bryant, Michael Stowe, Ingrid Derrickson, Emmie Craven, Fiona Matlock, Amanda Bryant, and Jennifer Stowe. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Embracing Hospice, 2160 Fountain Dr, Snellville, GA
