Marshall Glen Reeves, 85, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018. Marshall was born on September 21, 1932 to the late Girlie Hayes and Floyd A. Reeves in Lilburn, Ga. He was a long time member of Mountain Park First Baptist Church and proudly served the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Marshall worked at the Atlantic Steel Company for 19 years and later retired from K.C. Bowen Inc.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one grandchild. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret Reeves of Monroe; three children, Marty Reeves of Trion, Laurie Burkett and fiancé, Rick Powers, of Baneberry, Tennessee, Jody Ford (Scott) of Eatonton; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Reeves will be held on Sunday, August 12th at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Wages & Sons Funeral Home Stone Mountain Chapel with reverend Chris Conner and Bobby Moore officiating. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
