Mary Ruth Grant

Mary Ruth (Martin) Grant age 95, of Tucker, Ga., passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19th, 2017. She was born on April 14th, 1922 in Forsyth County, Ga. Mary is a graduate of Tucker High School. She worked as an Office Manager at Big Star for over 30 years before retirement. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Olen E. Grant. She is survived by their children, Bobby Grant, Carolyn (Ben) Bourne, & James (Catherine) Grant. Her grandchildren are Vicky Dougherty, Pamela Bryan, Sean Grant, Melissa Metzger, Tiffany Richter, Mary Loyd, and Elizabeth Marsh. She has 16 great-grand-children. The family will receive friends at Wages & Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain, Georgia on Friday, October 27th from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM –8:00 PM; also, on Saturday from 11:00 AM –1:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Wages & Sons Funeral Home 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30086 with Reverends Michael Dickens and Norris Nash. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Tucker, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Memorial Lighthouse Baptist Church, 6590 James D.
