Mary Anne Hebert Creagan

Mary Anne Hebert Creagan, 93, resident of Park Springs near Stone Mountain, Georgia, died Feb. 21, 2023.

Born in New Orleans, she was a graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart and Newcomb College of Tulane University. She was the daughter of Dr. Aynaud Foster Hebert and Marguerite Hartson Hebert. She is survived by her brother William J.Hebert and his wife, Jane. She was preceded in death by her brothers Dr. Aynaud M. Hebert and his wife Adelaide and John R. Hebert and his wife Marilyn.

She was the devoted wife of 62 years to Thomas Cosgrove Creagan, who preceded her in death. She is survived by seven children: Carey and her husband, Ken Stickney; Christopher Creagan and his wife, Helen; Jennifer Creagan Carver; Judith and her husband, George Walton; Marian and her husband, Walter Egenmaier; Marguerite Howard; and Cynthia Nevetral. She is preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Phillip Carver and Scott Nevetral.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Michelle Egenmaier Oglesby, Laura Stickney Owen, Creagan Stickney, Paul Egenmaier, Joseph Walton, Robin Nevetral Jones, Erin Stickney Segura, Kathrine Walton Riescher, Rebecca Nevetral Argoe, Theresa Stickney Pepitone, Rachel Creagan, Gregory Nevetral, Andrew Creagan as well as her great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Creagan was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Stone Mountain, where she frequently volunteered, and a regular attendee at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Gwinnett County. She was also an active resident at Park Springs, where she also volunteered.

Services will be offered at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 600 Mountain View Dr., Stone Mountain, GA on Saturday, March 4. There will be a Rosary said at 10:00 am followed by visitation in the vestibule. The Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Stone Mountain Room.
