Mattie Hardigree Studdard

Mattie Hardigree Studdard, age 93 of Stone Mountain, GA departed this life on August 2, 2015. She was born October 30, 1921 in Rome, GA. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hardigree, son, David Lee Hardigree, great grandson, Dalton Andrew Hardigree. Mattie leaves behind a daughter, Diane Hardigree Nash (Norris) of Loganville, GA; and sons, Lamar Hardigree (Eileen) of Woodstock, Don Hardigree (Amanda) of Hartselle, AL, Dennis Hardigree of Pendergrass, GA, and Melvin Hardigree (Marion) of Winder; as well as 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who cherish the loving memories of her warm personality and affectionate love. Mattie’s life was fulfilled by loving and helping her friends and neighbors. As well as loving and cherishing her children, Church (Memorial Lighthouse Baptist Church), and God. She will be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 4 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Parlor at Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5 at the Stone Mountain Chapel, with Graveside service following at 3:00 p.m. at Barrow Memorial Gardens.
