Maurice “Moe” “Taz” Thomas Mario Ruiz was born September 3,1990, and lived for 27 eventful years, until he ended his life January 21, 2018. Mario/Moe wrote a message on his arm that reads: "Tell everyone Spread more love And speak the truth” Every one of Us in his life made up Mario/Moe’s Collective “We" Family. He made such intensely close connections with people, as he traveled through his life, that related by blood or no blood, We All Loved Moe/Mario! That infectious smile, coupled with his animated interactions drew you into his being and made Us feel his love. Moe/Mario asked that we Speak the Truth. T R U T H We all feel the same intense loss at Moe’s death; because, Mario/Moe’s Collective "We" Family had the same intense Love for him. As Mario’s Biological Mother, I too am sorry for Your loss. Think about it, when Moe called you Unc, Moms, Pops, Lil Bro, Big bro, Sis, Cuz, Brother from another mother, this is how he saw us, and how we saw ourselves in his big brown eyes — indistinguishable. So, don’t give me your condolences, or say that you are sorry for my loss. Better to say: “I miss him.” “I will miss him.” “I loved him.” "Here is a memory of him." Our pain is the same.
