Mee Yang Her, age 73, of Winder, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. She was born on November 13, 1952, in Laos and lived a life rooted in faith, service, and deep love for her family and community.
Mee was a devoted member of the Hmong New Hope Alliance Church of the CMA and was actively involved in the Hmong New Hope Alliance Women’s Group and Tais Nruag Ministry. Her faith guided every part of her life. She found great joy in attending church events, reading her Bible, singing hymns, and spending time in prayer. Known as a prayer warrior, Mee faithfully lifted others up in prayer year after year and served as a trusted leader in this ministry.
From 1987 to 2005, Mee worked as an electronics technician, demonstrating her strong work ethic and determination. Outside of work, she enjoyed gardening and took pride in growing crops and herbal plants, many of which she cultivated in pots. She was well known for her knowledge of herbal medicine and generously shared her wisdom with others.
Mee had a gift for caring for people in a holistic way. Through massage and natural healing practices, she helped provide relief from muscle pain and anxiety, touching countless lives with her gentle hands and compassionate spirit. She will be remembered for her wise advice, her generosity, and her constant prayers for the community.
Faithful, caring, wise, devoted, generous, gentle, kind, and strong, Mee made everyone feel loved and accepted—especially her family, whom she cherished deeply.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sy Her.
She is survived by son Kevin Her, son Cheng Her, daughter Choua Her, son Fu Her, son Teng Her, and son Xia Her, along with extended family members and many friends whose lives she impacted.
Services will be held at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Interment will take place at a later date at Forest Lawn Glendale Cemetery, 1712 S. Glendale Ave., Glendale, CA 91205.
Mee Yang Her leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, healing, and prayer that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
