Michael Edward Capps Jr.

Michael Edward Capps, Jr., age 27, passed peacefully in his sleep on June 12, 2015. Michael is survived by his mother Valerie Guiles, father Mike Capps, brother Thomas Capps, stepfather Blake Guiles, stepbrother Blake Guiles Jr., stepsister Amanda Guiles, grandmother Louise McCarron, and many extended family and close friends. He moved to Atlanta from Orlando, FL in 2010 and was a 2013 graduate of Emory School of Law. His love for life, family, friends, and for his music, and his passion for his convictions were unparalleled. He was a multi-talented musician and lead guitarist for the band he loved, “Surrogates”. He was a law partner and friend of Trey Wakefield of Capps and Wakefield, Attorneys at Law. Michael’s witty sense of humor and the number of people he made smile and laugh and the amount of lives he touched should inspire us all. For Michael, let’s all try a little harder. A Celebration Memorial will be held in Atlanta on June 19, 2015 for his family and friends. We have all lost a brilliant light who brightened every person’s life that he touched. Every moment with Michael was a memory in the making. Michael, you are now resting in the loving arms of God.
