Michael David O'Brien

Michael David O’Brien age 57, of Lawrenceville Ga passed away July 24, 2020, due to complications from a stroke. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jodi O’Brien, his twin sons, Taylor and Connor O’Brien. His mother, Caroline Caswell, and his sisters, Donna Brown, and Carrie Hagan, all from New Bern NC. Michael was born in Newport RI and raised in Havelock NC. Upon graduating from high school, Michael entered the Marine Corps. He was a member of the 1st Battalion 2nd Marines, stationed in Camp Lejeune NC, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant and was a Gulf War Veteran. After leaving the Marine Corps. Michael had a long career in the automotive parts/service industry. Michael’s Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Wednesday November 11 at 1:00 at 12Stone Church, Central Campus, in Lawrenceville, where he a was a long-time member. In lieu of flowers, donations be made in Michael’s name to: Emory Rehabilitation Hospital 1441 Clifton Road NE Atlanta, GA 30736 These donations will be allocated to the patient fund and will go to provide equipment to patients in need that have suffered strokes and/or have dysphagia.
