Michelle (Hammer) Daniels passed away with family at her side on September 21, 2016 at the age of 47 after a courageous eight years of fighting ALS.  Born in Lowell, MA, Michelle grew up in Massachusetts and Georgia and graduated from Parkview High School in Lilburn, GA class of 1987.  She lived in Dacula, GA for the past 21 years.  She worked at Suburban Hematology-Oncology in Lawrenceville as an insurance administrator prior to her illness and as long as she was physically able.   She enjoyed her horses and animals, gardening, crafts and particularly going to her daughter’s softball games. 
Survivors include parents, Paula and Joel Hammer of Lilburn; brothers, Steven (and wife Ynes) Hammer of Lilburn and Todd (and wife Rose) Hammer of Alexandria, VA; daughters, Kaylie Daniels of Dacula, Andrea (and husband Corey) Lane of Dacula and Megan (and husband Michael) Alessi of Hendersonville, NC;  grandchildren,  Ansleigh, Nathan and Jack; also ex-husband, care giver during her illness, and best friend Barney Daniels of Dacula.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, GA, October 1st, 5:00-7:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaylie P. Daniels Donation Fund (Account 8188520079), which will go toward Kaylie’s education,  at any Wells Fargo office or sent to:  4265 Lawrenceville Hwy NW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
