Miles “M.C.” DuBois, Sr, of Decatur Georgia, died on Monday, January 8, at the age of 93. MC was born in Walterboro, South Carolina on July 5, 1924, and served in the Navy during WWII. After retiring from the United States Postal Service, M.C. worked at his son’s landscaping business, DuBois Landscaping.
M.C. is preceded in death by his wife, Doris B. DuBois, his son, Miles C. DuBois, Jr., his grandson, Steven Lee DuBois, and granddaughter, Dawn Jones. He is survived by a sister, Katherine Tilson, a daughter, Mary Hubbard (Floyd) of Flovilla, Georgia, a son Rodney DuBois (Courtney) of Atlanta, Georgia, and a son Tommy DuBois (Wendy) of Stafford, Virginia, six grandchildren, Jeri Daniel, Glen Weeks, Floyd Hubbard, Jr., Kayla DuBois, Erica DuBois, and Kelsey DuBois, and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service in memory of M.C. will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at the Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1040 Main St, Stone Mountain, Georgia, with Rev. J. Brent Ross presiding. Friends are welcome for visitation before the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment at Melwood Cemetery will follow the service.
