Muoi Van Vo

Muoi Van Vo, 66, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on August 20, 2026. He was born on February 19, 1960, in Vietnam.

Muoi was a hardworking, caring, and devoted family man who spent his life taking care of those around him. Resourceful and determined, he was known as a true jack of all trades who could seemingly build, repair, or figure out just about anything. Throughout his working life, he owned an auto body shop and also worked as a fabric factory manager.

Above all, Muoi was a loving husband and father who made his family feel supported, cared for, and happy. His strength, work ethic, and determination inspired those around him and encouraged others to work hard and persevere.

Muoi had many interests and talents. He enjoyed cars, fishing, cooking, gardening, building things, and playing guitar. A baseball fan, he especially loved cheering on the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed trips to the casino, but some of his happiest times were simply spent surrounded by friends and family. He loved hosting cookouts, entertaining others, and bringing the people he cared about together.

Muoi is survived by his loving wife, Mailan Nguyen; his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Vo and Allie Vo; his daughter, Kacey Vo; his sister, Thi Muoi Vo; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Nguyen and Mai Wright; his niece, Angelina Hoang; his nephew, Riley Hoang; and his mother-in-law, Hien Nguyen.

A funeral service honoring Muoi’s life will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046.

Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1832 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, Georgia 30096.

Muoi will be remembered as a loving family man, a loyal friend, a hard worker, and a remarkably resourceful man whose care for others was evident throughout his life. His memory will remain with the many people who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
