Nancy Emily Muller

Nancy Emily Muller of Woodstock, GA passed away on January 18, 2010 after a long battle with progressive supranuclear palsy PSP and cancer. She is survived by her brothers Donald Rung of Chicago, IL and Jerry Rung Rita of Buffalo, NY. She is also survived by her children, David Muller Jr. Mary, Dallas, GA; Chris Muller Sharon, Lawrenceville, GA; Lisa Bass Ken, Marietta, GA, Steven Muller, Shamong, NJ; Scott Muller Lori, Ridgewood, NJ; and Wayne Muller, Woodstock, GA; and five grandchildren; Matthew, Michael, Alec, Shae and Camryn. She was preceded in death by her husband David Burke Muller Sr., of Acworth, GA; sister, Shirley Kroeger and parents Jerome and Emily Rung of Buffalo, NY. Nancy was born in Buffalo in 1928, attended high school at Sacred Heart Academy, and received her Registered Nursing degree from Sisters of Charity Hospital and Canisius College. After graduating she went into private duty nursing. Nancy and her family moved to Georgia in 1960 and settled in Acworth in 1970. She worked at Hill Haven Convalescence Center as the East wing head nurse for 25 years. She continued her nursing career at Shoreham Convalescence Center until her retirement in 1998 at the age of 71. Nancy loved cooking, knitting and gardening and adored her precious cats. Simply having her children and grandchildren near brought her the most joy. Following a family service at the National Cemetery in Marietta, GA, a memorial service will be on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 1:00 pm, Mount Bethel United Methodist Church of Marietta. The family will meet with visitors in the sanctuary atrium after the service. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to either the PSP Society www.curepsp.com or the Good Mews Animal Foundation https://www.goodmews.org/. They would also like to extend special thanks to all of her friends that went above and beyond to provide care, love, and joy to their Mother during her illness.
