Nancy Singleton Talbert

Dec 21, 1969 — Jun 28, 2026

Nancy Singleton Talbert, 56, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born on December 21, 1969, in Decatur, Georgia, she was the beloved daughter of N. Eugene "Gene" and Karen Singleton. After graduating from Shamrock High School, Nancy attended Valdosta State University and Covenant College, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 1995.

Nancy dedicated more than 15 years to Gwinnett County Public Schools, where she faithfully served students as a member of the School Nutrition Program and later as a special education paraprofessional. Earlier in her career, she taught preschool at two churches. She had a genuine love for children, and her compassion and servant's heart touched the lives of countless students and families.

Nancy was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church for over 20 years where she taught Sunday School, served in the Awana program and sang in the choir. She cherished her church family and had many lasting friendships among the membership.

In her free time, Nancy enjoyed cross-stitching, putting together puzzles, and creating lasting memories with her family and friends. She loved her Braves, Georgia Tech athletics, and NASCAR. She found joy in life's simple moments and treasured the time she spent with those she loved.

Nancy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Glenn (Margaret) Singleton, and her maternal grandparents, William (Melba) Creacy.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, David Talbert; her children, Hannah, Jaclyn, and Daniel Talbert; her parents, Gene and Karen Singleton; her sister, Cheryl (Steve) Kammerud; her brother, Robert (Christina) Singleton; and her beloved niece and nephews.
