It is with deep sorrow and profound love that the Phelps and Streete families announce the passing of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister, Narquitta Jons Phelps-Streete. This transition occurred on Friday, May 8, 2026. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in celebrating a life filled with love, strength, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
Narquitta is predeceased by her parents, Monroe Phelps and Jebbeh Kpannah Wehlana ,her son Albert Milton Streete and her husband, Walter B. Streete Sr.
She is survived by her ten children: Eugenia (Gregory), Juanita (Tony), Wilhelmenia (James) Carl (Beatrice) Marie, Mohenia, Narquitta (Marlo) Albert, Priscilla (Alexander) and June (Terry). GRANDMA, as she was affectionately called, leaves to mourn/celebrate her life, a Village of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
The family sincerely appreciates your prayers, love, support, and continued encouragement during this difficult time as they celebrate a life well lived and a legacy that will forever remain in their hearts.
