Patricia Ann Farmer

Patricia Ann Glenn Farmer was born on December 27, 1931 in Atlanta, Georgia to James Glenn and Nannie Olmstead Glenn. She earned a teaching degree from the University of Georgia and Masters of Education from Auburn University. Pat was an elementary school teacher for the City of Atlanta as well as in Grayson, Georgia. She was a member of Martha Brown Methodist Church in East Atlanta, where she taught Sunday school. She also taught Sunday School at First Decatur Baptist and Snellville United Methodist. As a teenager Pat learned to play the violin, and became an avid member of the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra. She also played the violin and sang in the Snellville United Methodist Church Choir. Pat married R. Marvin Farmer on June 29, 1980, and together they loved to travel, square dance and attend Snellville United Methodist Church. Pat was affectionately known as Grandma to seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pat is preceded in death by her Parents, husband Marvin Farmer, Hugh’s wife Lynn Farmer. She is survived by her stepchildren John (Melissa) Farmer; Hugh Farmer; Joyce Farmer Mills. Grandchildren Andy (Rachel) Mills, Memorie (Clayton) Heyward, Justin Farmer, Austin (Stephanie) Farmer, Amanda Mills, Kevin Mills, and Travis (Taylor) Farmer. Great grandchildren Emma Farmer, Henry Heyward, Eleanor Farmer, and Ellis Farmer.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11:00AM at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. A private interment will follow.
