Patricia Mielke

November 30, 1929 — July 20, 2020

Patricia “Pat” Mielke Patricia Louise Mielke, age 90 a loving friend, teacher, mother, and grandmother gained her wings on July 20, 2020. She passed peacefully away at her home in Stone Mountain Ga surrounded by family. Pat was born in Pittsburg Pa. on November 30, 1929, where she spent most of her early life. She moved to Minneapolis Minnesota where she received her BS degree in education from the University of Minnesota. As an elementary school teacher, she loved to watch her students grow and learn. She was loved so much by them they kept in touch with her through the years and granted her with the “Teacher of the century from the class of 57”. Pat devoted her life to her husband John K. Mielke who she met on a blind date and married in 1957. They moved to Stone mountain Ga in 67 where she became a faithful member of St. Michaels and all Angels Church. Pat was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was known for her cooking/ baking, loved to entertain, travel to the beach, read novels, collect angels and she loved decorating for the holidays. Her greatest love was being surrounded by her husband, children, friends and spoiling her grandchildren. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband John, 3 children Matthew, Mitchell, and Sara. Her legacy continues through with her 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Pat was preceded in her death by her parents, Charles H. and Barbara M. Price Johnston and siblings Clark Johnston, Betty Lubken, Barbara Newsome, and Sally Johnston. In Lieu of flowers please give to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance @tsalliance.org The celebration of Pat Mielke’s life will be held at a later date
