Phyllis Jean Roberts

Phyllis “Jean” Roberts, 87, of Doraville, GA, passed away on April 20, 2014. A Memorial service will be held in the Embry Hills Methodist Church chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 20 ^th .  Jean was born in New Troy, MI on December 22, 1926. She graduated from Bucahnan High School in Buchanan, MI. She was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, sewing, arts and crafts, and reading. She was active in the church’s women’s circles and with the Sunday school program. Jean is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marlen Roberts; three sons Brian Roberts, Paul Roberts, and David Roberts; 2 daughters Carol Toriani and Diane Roberts; three grandchildren Christopher Roberts, Emily Toriani-Moura, and Spencer Roberts; a sister Berniece Walkden; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Kindergarten and preschool programs at the Embry Hills Methodist Church, 3304 Henderson Mill Rd., Atlanta, GA 30341 The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Peachtree Christian Hospice for their support in her final days.
