Ramanlal D. Amin

April 16, 1938 — September 8, 2024

Ramanlal Dyabhai Amin (Gaam: Dehgam), age 87, husband of Bhartiben, father of Bimal, Sandip, and Darshana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, at his home in Alpharetta, GA.

He was an avid sportsman, literate, and devout Satsangi. He was immensely proud of his Indian heritage, and equally proud of his American citizenship. Ramanlal often shared “his-story” of having married Bhartiben, his soulmate, on May 7th, 1960, welcoming his first child in 1963, and having journeyed to the U.S. in 1995. Once in the states, he enjoyed traveling, visiting his children, grandchildren, and friends, trying different cuisines, and consistently keeping up with his communities in person, and via phone.

Family and friends lovingly referred to him as “RD Kaka.” RD Kaka truly resides at the center of every Dehgam core memory. He was the founding member of Dehgam’s first cricket team, the first volleyball team, Upkar Sports Club, and the friends club.

He sincerely dedicated his full heart to every endeavor and relationship. “Dada” brought genuine joy and companionship to all those who surrounded him, especially to his grandchildren (Harshank, Hardik, and Morli), in whom he always expressed adoration and pride. Above all, we remember him as a loyal husband, passionate father and grandfather.

He was always energetic, joyful, stylish (always seen in his iconic sunglasses), spiritual, a “foodie”, and a man of principle committed to a life full of positivity. His authentic chuckle will forever ring in our ears. He lived an exemplary life.

The family would like to thank everyone for their lifelong support. Please join the family in praying to Bhagwan for a peaceful journey of his soul.
