Rameshbhai Ambalal Patel

Rameshbhai Ambalalbhai Patel, of Suwanee, GA (Dudhawada, India), passed away peacefully to Akshardham on Friday, June 30, 2023 after receiving blessing from Mahant Swami Maharaj.

Rameshbhai was born in Gavasad, India. As a teacher, he taught high school children and owned a farm.

He will be remembered for being tough on his school children (he had high expectations in education) but easy on his children. He arranged for his eldest 3 children to receive education in the United States in 1986. He, his wife, and youngest daughter then moved to the United States in 1988 to be with his children.

Rameshbhai is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sarojben; his son, Pritesh and wife Avani; his daugthers, Bhavana and husband Pinesh, Hetal and husband Hemal, and Priti and husband Vimal; eight grandchildren, Anisha, Sachet, Vani, Nischay, Aaryan, Prapti, Karuna, and Nirmani; brothers Jashbhai and Vasantbhai; and sisters Hansaben, Urmilaben, and Jayshreeben.

He lived a simple life, placing his family first rather than himself, never expecting anything for himself. He was a avid reader and enjoyed reading jivan charitras and other Satsang books. Just like his father Bapu, he studied and gave the Satsang Exams as far as he could. He loved to tell age old tales that he had heard as a child and was quick in providing humerous adages in conversation, that people still remember today.

He will be missed by his family and friends.
