Randolph Eugene Huddleston

R. Eugene Huddleston of Hoschton, Ga., age 83, left this life to be with the Lord on August 30th after an extended period of illness. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie, a Son, Randy Huddleston of Hoschton, a Daughter, Sharon Welch of Lawrenceville and Johns Island, SC, and a Grandson William Wannamaker of Lilburn, Ga. His surviving Sisters and Brothers are Dolores Meadows of Grants Pass. Or., Wendy Banks of Ellijay, Ga., Larry Huddleston of Flagler Beach, FL and Wallace Huddleston of Hayesville, NC as well as beloved Sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, G. C. and Lillian Huddleston, two Brothers, Carroll and Harold Huddleston, and Sister, Connie Allen. Gene graduated from Brown High School in Atlanta and attended Auburn University and enjoyed participating in the football programs. He was drafted into the Korean conflict and served in the U. S. Army Signal Corp. He retired from the General Service Administration US Government in 1989 and enjoyed living on the beautiful coast of Oregon and in Tucson, Arizona before returning to his native State of Georgia. Arrangements are by Wages & Sons, Lawrenceville, GA. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 2nd from 2-4 pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Sept 4th at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. at 11am.
