Ray L. Jarrett, age 68 of Lilburn, Georgia passed away April 14th, 2013 at Northside Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia of complications related to lung cancer and a massive heart attack. He was surrounded by his family. Services will be at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, Lawrenceville, Georgia. Reverend Ron Holman, Associate Pastor, of First Baptist Albany, Georgia will officiate .Ray was born on August 20th, 1944 in Adairsville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents William L. Jarrett and Susie Ann Waters Jarrett, sisters; Martha Ann Jarrett, Rosie J. Johnson, and his devoted friend and sister, Sue J. Plemons who passed away August 27th, 2012. Ray was the B.P. manager, Joint Venture Terminals U.S. Logistics, Southeast Office. Doraville, Georgia. He is survived by his wife Brenda of 44 years. Together they raised one son, Jeffrey Jason Jarrett Michelle of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Brother, John M. Jarrett Nehama of Byron, Georgia. brother-in-law, Harold R. Plemons of Rochelle, Georgia. Sister, Shirley Jarrett Olney Futral Harry of Albany, Georgia. Grandsons, Karson and Bryson of Lawrenceville, Georgia and the most ''AWESOME'' nieces and nephews. Ray was also survived by his most cherished companion '' Trouble/Puppy'' his beloved Chihuahua. Visitation will be Saturday April 20th, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, Lawrenceville, Georgia. Services will follow at 11:00A.M. in the chapel. Graveside services and entombment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens 120 Old Pretoria Road, Albany, Georgia with the Reverend, Ron Holman officiating at 4:30 P.M. After the graveside services family and friends will gather at the home of Harry and Shirley Futral. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Relay For Life, team Grayson Elementary School - Michelle Jarrett, American Cancer Society.
