Reginald Dean Strickland, a compassionate and dedicated individual, left this world on October 20, 2023, at the age of 68. Born on November 26, 1954, in Canton, Mississippi, Reginald was the beloved son of Wilbur and Wilma Strickland and a proud resident of Dacula, Georgia.

Reginald’s life was marked by an unwavering commitment to the service of others. He earned an MS in Healthcare Administration and an MBA from the University of Maryland, a testament to his passion for healthcare and helping those in need. His selflessness extended to his service in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant and a medical administration specialist at the USAF Academy Hospital in Colorado. His dedication to his country was evident as he served in the USAF from 1973 to 1977.

Reginald was a devoted member of the 12 Stone Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where he found solace and community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and his service to others.

Over the course of 30 years, Reginald received numerous awards recognizing his exceptional customer service, care, and unwavering commitment to family values while working in skilled nursing and rehab, independent/assisted living, and memory care centers. He dedicated his life to caring for and serving others, making a profound impact on the lives he touched.

Reginald’s caring and compassionate nature knew no bounds. He was a natural leader, a mentor to many, a true friend, and a constant source of encouragement and support. He had a remarkable ability to make friends and family feel loved, safe, and important, always brightening their days with his infectious smile.

Reginald Dean Strickland is survived by his loving wife, Tricia Strickland, and their children: Kathron Jankiewicz of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Andrew Strickland of Milledgeville, Georgia, Clinton Strickland of Austin, Texas, and step-daughter Niki Crews of Gainesville, Georgia. He was the cherished and adoring grandfather of seven grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Reginald’s life will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, located at 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, Georgia, 30046. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

An interment to honor his memory will take place at 11:00 AM on November 6, 2023, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Hwy., Milledgeville, Georgia 31061.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to K9s for Warriors, an organization dedicated to providing highly trained service dogs to military veterans experiencing service-connected trauma. Contributions can be made at k9forwarriors.org, reflecting Reginald’s commitment to serving not only his fellow veterans but also those in need.
