Rena Lavern Howard, 65, of Monroe, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021.
Rena was born on Wednesday, February 9, 1955 in Atlanta, GA to Robert Irby Gray and Lillian Louis McGiboney. She was married for 49 years to the love of her life, Charles “Frankie” Howard on August 14, 1971.
She had a very green thumb and would love to garden and she could grow anything, from vegetables to beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed playing on the church softball league and fishing at the family lake house. Spending time with her family was a big highlight of her life. She loved taking care of her family and anyone else that came into her life. She enjoyed making crafts, especially with her grandkids and loved having them help her take care of her chickens and ducks. When she had free time she liked to visit Harrah’s Casino and playing the 1 cent slots. When she wasn’t at the casino she would love to play Cash 3 and definitely loved the scratch off’s.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Frankie” Howard, Monroe, GA; son Jason (Gypsy) Howard, Monroe, GA and their children Curtis Robinson, Devin Robinson and Jasmin Howard; daughter, Mendy Powell, Monroe, GA and her children Peyton Howard, Gage Felton and Skyler King; brother, Irby (Brenda) Gray; Loganville, GA; sister, Rita (Billy Ray) Allen, Lilburn, GA; sister, Cindy (Alan) Camp, Hull, GA; along with 6 nieces and 4 nephews.
