Richard "Pop" Dugan

Richard Dugan, known more simply as “Pop.” What an amazing man… Our dad, and your friend, was an anchor, provider, philosopher, teacher and so much more. Pop was charismatic, warm, nurturing, solid, creative, talented and a perfectionist. We all learned so much from him. He was a ROCK. He loved people, animals and his country. He was a problem solver and was brilliant at so many things. Pop was articulate and funny. Pop told stories in mesmerizing fashion. Pop had more talent then any one single person I have ever known. Pop could do anything, it seemed, and he did it with pride and perfection. Pop was the “cool dad” that all our friends liked to hang out with whenever they could. Pop was a SOLDIER, a HERO, AND a PATRIOT. Pop was a father, a brother, an uncle, a grandpa and so many things to so many people, but most of all Pop was a Gift from God to all that knew him. God used Pop to touch so many lives in so many ways. We are blessed to have had this man in our lives. Pop, we all thank you for the contributions you have made to each and every one of us whose lives you have touched. We will celebrate your life on earth and look up to you in Heaven, where we know you are watching over us and guiding us. You will forever live in our hearts and we will all cherish you and the memories you have given us for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Pop, for the gift of YOU.
