Richard Brent Jr.

Obituary Richard Brent, Jr., age 76, departed this life from his home in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where he has been a resident since 1996. Born April 9, 1935 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He proudly defended our country in the Korean war with the United States Air Force before settling back at home in New Orleans. He worked for ILA 3000 until his retirement in 1990. Richard was a Church Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and new members' coordinator for many years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Rosa M. Brent, children Toni Rinette Brent-Willis, Richard Eric Brent, III, Shalisa Renata Brent-Braziel & Randy Troy Brent, Grandchildren Katrina Johnson, Devon Green, Richaurd Brent, Kristiana Brent, Claude Willis, III, Jihad Brent, Amari Brent, Saliha McWhorter, Jalil Brent, Simyah McWhorter, Randy Brent, Jr., Ciara Brent & Darnell Braziel, Jr. Sons-in-law Claude M. Willis, Jr. & Darnell Braziel and Daughters-in-law Charmaine Brent and Sharia Brent and sister Mary Elizabeth Harris. He is preceded in death by his daughter Angel Regina Green, parents Emma and Richard Brent and sister Gladys McGhee. He is loved and will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends. The light of his spirit will continue to be felt by all who knew him.
