Richard Eugene Robinson

December 25, 2025 Richard (Ricky/Rick) Eugene Robinson passed away in the ICU

at Grady Memorial Hospital following several years of poor health. Rick grew up in Atlanta, GA. He joined the Army at age 18 and was stationed in Fort Hood, TX, where he was part of the lst Calvary Division. After being discharged from the Army he moved to Rome, GA and that's where he lived most of his remaining life. In Rome he attended Electrician classes at Georgia Northwestern Technical School and received his certification, which was his profession for the rest of his adult life.

Rick is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Clyde Robinson and his mother Betty Vetreal Elkins Robinson, as well as a brother Woodrow Clyde (Buster) Robinson, Jr.

Rick is survived by his wife Nancy Callahan Robinson of Douglasville, GA, brothers Johnny (Brenda) Robinson of Stone Mountain, GA and Rusty (Angela) Robinson of Winder, GA, sisters Joann (Marshall) Britt of Hoschton, GA and Bonnie (Tony) Ballard of Pageland, NC. Mr. Robinson is also survived by 3 sons, Richard (Melissa) Robinson II (Ricky) of Rome, GA, Randy (Amber) Robinson of Loveland, CO, and Robert (Ariel) Robinson (Beau) of Summerville, GA. To his 5 grandchildren he was Papa, Aiden 19, Roman 15, Peyton 13 all of Loveland, CO, Allie Kate 11 of Rome, GA, and Adalee 7 of Summerville, GA. He's also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Rick will be cremated at Wages & Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain, GA. After cremation, to follow his wishes, he will be placed in the Mausoleum at the National Cemetery in Canton, GA. There will be a short service at the cemetery at a time to be determined.
