Robert Leon Carswell

Robert Leon Carswell age 82 of Lilburn, Ga. past away Sunday December 29,2013.  Born in Campton Ga. on June 7 ^th 1931, and was a graduate of Snellville  High School.  He retired from Texaco December of 1986, he was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War, and a member of Mountain Park Baptist Church of Lilburn since 1962.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.  He loved the Atlanta Braves and Nascar (who ever was driving the Havoline Car).  He was proceeded in death by parents Robert Kimball and Minnie Nana Davis Carswell, and mother-in-law Stella Gormley.  Survivors include his wife of 58 years Polly Hicks Carswell, son Keith Carswell of Monroe, Ga.  daughters and sons-in-laws Karen and George M. (Mike) Harrison III of Covington, Ga., and Jill and Tim  James of Lilburn, Ga.,  Grandchildren Marianne and Husband Aubrey Akin, Lennon Harrison, Travis and Wife Rachel Harrison, Tara Harrison and Kye James.  Great grandchildren  Phillip Akin, Wyatt Akin, and AnnaClaire Harrison.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Saturday January 4 ^th 2014, at  Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Rev. Bobby Moore officiating,  internment will follow at Corinth Cemetery.  Family will receive friends Friday evening January 3 ^rd 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
