Robert E. Frank

FRANK, Robert E. Frank, 86, a resident of Stone Mountain, GA since 1981, formerly of Columbus, Ohio made his transition peacefully on June 13, 2013 at Emory Hospital. After serving in the United States Army in World War II, he attended Ohio State University and received a Bachelors Degree of Industrial Engineering in 1953. In 1992 he retired from Simmons Beautyrest Mattress/Hide-A-Bed company after 37 years of service as Methods Development Engineer, continued an additional 10 years for other bedding companies as a private consultant. He loved watching Ohio State Football games, baseball and traveling, especially to the Smoky Mountains and Stone Mountain Park. The most enjoyable retirement time was spent at home working in their personally landscaped yard and flower gardens and watching wildlife. Mr. Frank is survived by his wife, Connie, of 46 years, sisters of Columbus, Ohio, Shirley Atwood and Nancy Patton plus nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a lifelong member of Saint John's Evangelical Protestant Church United Church of Christ in Columbus, Ohio. No funeral services are planned in Georgia. Burial site will be at the Military Kingwood Memorial Park Garden of the Four Chaplains, located at Worthington, Ohio which is planned at a private gathering of family and friends Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel
