Robert Jay Healy, Sr.

Robert Jay Healy, Sr. of Lawrenceville, GA passed away May 11, 2022, at the age of 74. “Bob” was born on November 14, 1947, in Newark, NJ to Doris and Raymond Healy. He was the oldest of six brothers, preceding Don, Rich, Gary, Ray, and Jerry.

In 1965, he attended the University of Pennsylvania for one year. He was then accepted to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He attended the Naval Academy from 1966 to 1970 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Upon graduation he was wed to Linda Williams Healy. Together they had two children, daughter Kathleen L. Haber (Healy) and son Robert J. Healy, Jr.

After finishing his service in the Navy, the family settled in Maryland in 1979. Bob had a passion for politics, genealogy and reading. He spent his post Naval career working in the publishing industry, retiring from McGraw-Hill and then moving to Georgia in 2013 to be closer to his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ray Healy. He is survived by his brothers Don Healy, Rich Healy, Gary Healy and Jerry Healy, his former wife Linda Healy, daughter Kathy and son-in-law Barry Haber, son Robert J. Healy, Jr. and former daughter-in-law Tara Healy. His grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart are Callie Healy, Averie Healy, Christina Haber, Matthew Haber, Jaime Healy, Robert (Trey) J. Healy, III, and Lilly Healy.
