It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of our loving Father, Robert "Jack" Litton, who passed away peacefully from natural causes in his sleep, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at age 89. We know in our hearts he has now entered those pearly gates and met his Lord and Savior and will be reunited with his predeceased family members. He was a beloved Father, Husband, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and dear friend, who was known for his radiant heart, kindness, strength and deep love for his family and most of all, he loved and followed Jesus. He always brought laughter, lighting up the room, wherever he went, and he was considered the family's "Comic Relief". He provided comfort to those around him, and he will be remembered for the care and dedication he showed to the people he loved. Robert (Jack) Litton, was a Navy Veteran, born in Kentucky on November 26, 1936, an Ohio State University Alumni, spending several years in Gahanna, OH and, later in life, he relocated his family to Lawrenceville, GA. Jack had a brilliant 40+ year career as an Executive, in the Missile Division, for North American/Rockwell/Boeing and his hobbies included Bowling and following the Nascar Racing Circuit, but most importantly, his true passion was spending time with his grandchildren, coaching Little League Baseball, and of course, telling jokes. His mantra was that "He'd never met a stranger", treating those he met, on this side of heaven, with a welcoming heart.
Jack was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years Barbara Lewis Litton, and by his son, Chad Litton. He is survived by Donna Dabbs Litton, his wife of 19 years, daughter Tamara Litton Velasco and her husband David, and their children Amberly and Landen Velasco. Daughter Jody Litton Herrin Haynes and her Husband Randy, and Jody's son Corey Herrin, along with many Nieces, Nephews, and dear friends. He is also survived by his Stepson Frank Schrapper & wife Cheri, along with Brianna Kates and Kaylee Schrapper, and three Great Grand Children.
