Waggoner, Robert M. Obituary Mr. Robert Morris Waggoner of Stone Mountain, Ga. passed away on Thursday, December 28 2018. Mr. Waggoner is predeceased in death by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Betty Eleanor Bell Waggoner. They were married on July 12, 1953. He is also predeceased by his parents Robert A. and Eura M. Waggoner and sister, Carolyn Jane Long of Broadway, VA. He was born July 16, 1931 in Bedford County, TN. He graduated from Andrew Lewis High School, Salem VA in 1950 and Danville Technical Institute, Danville, VA in 1959. He served four years in the United States Air Force primarily in Germany (1951-1955). He spent the rest of his career with General Electric where he retired in 1988 after 30 years service as a Systems Manager. Additionally, he was a long time member and Elder of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain, GA. He is survived by his son, James M. Waggoner and wife Lynn Waggoner of Johns Creek, daughter, Constance A. Beckworth of Stone Mountain, siblings Marilyn Jean Thomas of Broadway, VA, and Patricia S. Wilkinson of Hickory, NC. and William Waggoner of Greenville, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren Kevin and Chris Beckworth, Brett and Grant Waggoner, as well as four great-grandchildren. Visitation with family will be Sunday, January 6th at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain from 3-5 pm. His body will be cremated and ashes interred at Mossy Creek Presbyterian Church in Mt. Solon, VA.
