Robert James Wirth

Robert James Wirth, 69, departed this world on May 13, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born August 31,1954 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Beatrice Wirth. Jim is survived by wife, Kathi, daughters, Lindsey Wirth (partner, Cary) of Jefferson, Georgia; Kelley McClintock (Paul) of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; stepson, Cole Nelson (Lindsey) of El Lago, Texas; grandchildren, Brooke 19, Hayden 16, Shane 14, Blake 11, and Madison 4; brothers, Gary Wirth (Nancy) of Dawsonville, Georgia, and Glenn Wirth (Annemarie) of Heath, Ohio; as well as beloved nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Ohio University, Jim moved to Houston, Texas in the early 80’s where he began a successful career in industrial ink sales. He lived and raised his family in the Clear Lake, Texas area until 2006 when his career brought him to Georgia, the place he called home. He was a member of 12Stone Church of Lawrenceville, Georgia, volunteered with the Lawrenceville Food Coop, enjoyed golfing, woodworking, fishing or hiking on his annual “manly man” trips, playing on the trivia team, and having a good time with the family and friends he truly treasured. A man with an endearing smile and kind nature, a loving husband, father, brother. Known for his clever wit and playful comebacks, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We are comforted by the knowledge that he is now in the hands of our faithful and loving God.

Please join us in remembering Jim from 4:00-5:00PM on May 18, 2024, for a visitation at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia with the memorial service to follow at 5:00PM. Your colorful attire was his wish.
