It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roberto A. Acosta, beloved father, grandfather, life partner, and friend, who left us far too soon.
Born in Paysandú, Uruguay, on February 27, 1969, Roberto brought with him a love of life, nature, and people that never wavered. Whether he was out camping under the stars, watching a soccer match, or simply spending time with his family and friends, he lived each day with joy, generosity, and purpose.
Roberto was the embodiment of selflessness and strength. Protective, loving, and deeply devoted to those he cared for, his presence was a steady anchor for his family. He was a jokester who could make you laugh when you needed it most and a man whose wisdom and work ethic inspired admiration in everyone he met. To his family, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t “try” to fix—physically, emotionally, or spiritually. And to Roberto, everyone was family. Whether you were a lifelong friend or a total stranger, you could count on him—no questions asked. That kind of unconditional kindness was simply who he was. He was an outdoorsman, a foodie, a handyman, and above all else: a FATHER, a life partner, and a best friend.
Roberto leaves behind his children Dahia Acosta Nunez, Valeria Acosta, Bianca G. Vega, Pedro Vega, and Viviana Vega Villena, along with two beloved grandchildren, who will grow up hearing stories of his strength, warmth, and unwavering love.
A funeral service to honor Roberto’s life will be held: Saturday, June 28th, 2025 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046
