Roger Lowell Golden passed away August 22, 2021. He was born October 22, 1935 to Joseph and Hilda (Miller) Golden in New Carlisle, Indiana.
Roger retired from his lifetime employment with Manley Brothers in Bridgman, Michigan where they produced high-quality silica sand for many different industries In January 2016 he moved from Michigan to the warmer temperatures of Georgia, where he was closer to his grandchildren. In retirement he enjoyed coffee daily with his friends, working in the yard, and watching John Wayne movies. If he met you and built a connection, he had a nickname for you, “Pork Chop”, “Squeaky”, “Humpty Dumpty”….
Roger is survived by his daughters, Tamara (Fred) Haase, and Sally (Jim) Hogan; grandchildren Brandon Marko, Brianna Marko, and Lucas Haase. He is also survived by his siblings Robert Scott, Evelyn Clark, Mary Ann Golden, and Jim Golden, along with 21 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Roger Allen Golden, his parents Joseph and Hilda Golden, his brother Russell Scott and sister Betty Bolinger.
There will be a private celebration of life service.
