Roger Allan Sizemore

The Rev. Dr. Roger Allan Sizemore, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Roger was born in Grayson, KY on April 1, 1937. He was a graduate of Steubenville high school, Steubenville, OH, attended Milligan College (BA), Butler University/Christian Theological Seminary (M Div with honors), East Tennessee State University (MA in Psychology), and the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (PhD in Philosophy and Theology). He attended post doctoral studies programs at Ohio State University, Columbia University and The University of Tuebingen, Germany. He has published “Keeping in Touch”, a book on human potentials and also many essays. Roger was a former professor of Religion at Milligan College and Professor of Psychology at the Citadel.He was an ordained minister for the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in GA, having served as pastor for congregations in Kingwood, TX, Brooks, GA, Savannah, GA, Tucker, GA, Glasgow, KY and Marietta, GA. He was the former Dean and President of Phillips Theological Seminary, Enid, OK. He was the owner of The Sizemore Consulting Group. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Rev Alva D Sizemore, Juanita Conley Sizemore, and his grandson, Hunter Sizemore. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Talley Sizemore; sons, Adam (Julie) Sizemore of Tampa, FL, Stacey (Doreen) Sizemore of Columbia, S.C., Dr. Kent (Stacie) Sizemore of Pendleton, S.C.; daughters, Teresa T Henderson, Cleveland, GA and Tamara Talley, Lawrenceville, GA. Brother, Larry (Donna) Sizemore of Marietta, GA, two nieces, one nephew, 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
