Roger Allen Smith went to be with our Lord on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Mr. Smith was born November 10, 1951 in Bristol, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. & Peggy Smith. Roger is survived by his wife, Sharon Burchette; sons, Kevin C. Smith & wife, Ashlee; Preston G. Burchette; daughter, Kristen N. Smith; grandson, Drake A. Smith; sister, Wanda Oliver & husband, Mike Oliver; brother, Kenneth Smith & wife, Susan Smith. Roger spent 4 years serving his country in the United States Air Force. He was a hardworking, dedicated, loving husband, father, & grandfather. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, November 2, 2012 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, Lawrenceville, GA. There will also be a visitation on Sunday, November 4, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home in Bristol, TN. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 5, at Shipley Cemetery in Bluff City, TN with Pastor Estel Williams officiating.
