Roy Lewis Fuss

March 3, 1925 — November 16, 2012

Rev. Roy Lewis Fuss went to be with the Lord November 16, 2012. He was preceeded in death by an infant son, wife Mary Lee Fuss, wife Helen Harvey Fuss, mother Velma Mae Fuss, father Harry Lee Fuss, Sr. , brother Jerrell E Fuss, and brother Harry Lee Fuss, Jr. He was survived by his two daughters, Phyllis Fuss Hilliard and Terresa Fuss Fulcher, three grandsons, Randy Hilliard, Scott and Brandon Fulcher, six great granddaughters, four great grandsons and one on the way, and his sister Virginia Murray, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews. Roy was a Navy Veteran during the years 1942-1945, and served in WWII on two different ships. The USS Murray, and another ship that was torpedoed and split in half, leaving him clinging to floating wreckage for 18 hours. His tours included the Pacific, Atlantic and the Philippines. He served as choir director and minister of music at Memorial Drive Baptist Church, Stone Mountain and also Fellowship Baptist Church. Later he was the sunday school teacher and trip coordinator of the Joy Class at Glen Haven Baptist Church, Decatur. Roy loved travelling and meeting new friends and as a result of his infectious smile and love of the Lord, you could not help but to love him.
