Roy James Harris

Roy James Harris, age 69, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. Roy was very involved with the Boy Scouts to be able to spend more time with his children.  His love for kids also drew in his son's friends, all of whom he cared for and he became a father figure to them all. His house and heart were open to all who needed.  He was an artist who loved to draw and paint.  But is greatest joy was his grand daughters, Alyssa and Emma.  He gave his family a legacy of love and respect.  He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Harris; sons, Patrick Roy Harris and wife, Tara of Lawrenceville, Michael J. Harris of Lawrenceville; granddaughters, Alyssa Harris and Emma Harris; sisters, Margaret Harris Burgess and husband, Richard of Indian Head, Saskathewan, Terri Harris O'Brien of Guelph, Ontario,, Sister and brother in law Barbara and Tony Fortuna and many nieces and nephews.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Marguerite d'Youville Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers please donate in Roy's name to Catholic Charities Atlanta , American Diabetes Association , or American Kidney Fund .
