Sarojchandra J. Patel

Sarojchandra J. Patel was born in India on September 22, 1942 and raised in Gujarat. He came to America for graduate studies at the age of 24 and completed his master’s in engineering, PE, and MBA. He settled here with his wife, Gira, where he touched many lives and created lifelong friendships and connections with communities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, North Carolina, Tennessee, and lastly in Georgia. After a career as a nuclear engineer, he followed his true passion and started a financial advisory that helped many friends and family with financial and retirement planning.

Sarojbhai was a kind, generous, and loyal friend and family member who passed away on September 24, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with his health. Sarojbhai was someone who was always there to provide guidance and support and gave his love and kindness selflessly and without expectation. He was a man that defines loyalty and unconditional love. Though we wished he stayed with us longer, his guidance and dedication to his loved ones and to his community is something that cannot be replaced and will never be forgotten.

Sarojbhai is survived by his loving and caring wife of 52 years, Gira, his son Sanket and wife Bindi and his beloved granddaughter Bryn, along with his brother Gunvant Patel. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Rajnikant Patel. He will be greatly missed by numerous nephews, nieces, their families, and his friends all around the world.

Sarojbhai has always supported his son Sanket who is a board member of the non-profit organization TiE (The Innovation Ecosystem) Foundation that supports students, female, and minority entrepreneurs through their journey by mentoring, deploying capital, and fostering connections.
