Sharon Lee Johnson (née McConnell), 79, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Decatur, Georgia.

Sharon was born on February 12, 1946, in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Highland High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1964 and soon embarked on a career as a legal secretary. Her professional journey took her to Texas, where she switched to IT as a network administrator working for Texaco and where met her husband, Manly Johnson, who once served as mayor of Lewisville . Later, they moved to Georgia, where Sharon took a job as an IT contractor for Kimberly-Clark until her retirement.

A devoted Christian throughout her life, Sharon shared her faith with many friends and family members, guiding them toward their spiritual journeys. She faced health challenges with resilience, overcoming multiple strokes while managing complications from diabetes.

Sharon is survived by her four sisters: Marie Steele of New Mexico, Carol Rutherford of Georgia, Jolene Rogers of Washington state, and Holly Pipkin of Texas; as well as two nieces and six nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Manly Johnson; her parents, Joe McConnell and Rita McInnis; and her brothers, Scott and Joe McConnell.

A memorial service will be held on March 1, 2025, at East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
