Sharon Kaler, age 81, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025.
Sharon was born in Mansfield, Ohio to William (Bill) and Virginia Hockensmith Meyer, and from an early age she carried with her a deep sense of kindness, faith, and devotion to family.
She shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Joe Kaler, building a home filled with love and laughter. Together they raised two children, Robert Kaler (married to Tina Smith Kaler) and Kimberly (Kaler) Harvey, and she was a proud grandmother to Allyson Harvey, who brought her endless joy.
Sharon was a dedicated member of Lawrenceville United Methodist Church, where her faith guided her daily life. Her church family was a source of strength and fellowship, and she gave her time and heart generously to the congregation.
Beyond her devotion to family and church, Sharon found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She adored her cats, who were constant companions, and she delighted in traveling, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories along the way.
She will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love. Sharon’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she so deeply cherished.
A memorial service will be held at Lawrenceville United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lawrenceville United Methodist Church in her memory.
