Shirley Joan (Way) Seifert

Shirley Seifert went home to heaven on Saturday, September 1, 2018 after complications of pneumonia. For the past 16 years, she lived with her family in Lawrenceville, GA. She was 86.
Shirley was born on September 25, 1931 in Pearl River, New York. She graduated from Pearl River High School and worked as an office administrator at several companies in Rockland County. She has two brothers, John (Maureen) Hamilton and Ron Hamilton, and had one sister, Grace Cedras. Shirley married Charles Seifert in 1954. Together they raised two girls, Cynthia Ann and Andrea Ellen. In 1976, Shirley was honoredas a 25-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary Nanuet Fire Engine Company.
Shirley and Charlie moved to Florida in 1981 where she worked and retired from M&W Couch Pump Company as Director of Human Resources. She moved to Georgia in 2002 to be close to her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Shirley loved to read, garden, feed the birds, and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Bethesda Senior Center and active in the Fun Time Club, Garden Club, and Senior Olympics.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Bethesda United Methodist/Nett Church, 444 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Nett Church at Bethesda for local mission services.
