Mrs. Pel, Sokhom was born on July 5, 1935 (USA birth, not actual MM/DD) in Kokhhmom, Srok Battambang Khet Battambang, Cambodia to her parents of Mr. Pel, Khem and Mrs. Theav, Mai. She has a total of 6 siblings. Her older siblings are: Savoeun, Chamroeun and Sakhan Pel. Her younger siblings are: Khuom, Sakhoeurth, and Savath Pel. Sokhom had studied both Khmer and Thai in Kokhhmom Elementary. She married her spouse, Kem, Eang in 1958 and had 6 children: Mome (adopted), Vuthy, Theavy (deceased), Vannak (deceased), Akhara, and Prakab Kem. She also has 6 beautiful grandchildren: Solita DelaCruz, Victoria Kem, Melanie Kemp, Cristallina DelaCruz, Solina Vong, Branden Kem, Diana Kem, Lyndiona Kemp, & Cynthia Kem. Sokhom escaped from the Khmer Rouge Regime and arrived in the USA in July 1979, but currently resides in Lilburn, Georgia until she was laid to rest amongst the angels.
