Sonia Rojales

Sonia Rojales, 84, died peacefully at her home in Lawrenceville, GA. Sonia was born on February 11, 1940, to Emiliano Reynante and Solidad Miranda Reynante. She grew up in Cavite, Philippines. She graduated from University of Georgia. Sonia moved to Georgia and attended the University of Georgia to pursue a degree in education. She taught at multiple elementary schools in Georgia, fostering her love for education for all of the students she taught. Besides teaching, she also enjoyed writing. After the death of her husband, Sonia found solace within the Catholic Church and used the pain she found in grief to publish her book, Finding Joy In giving back to God. Through the church, she also was involved in the choir and the prayer community. She was married to Cipriano Rojales, who preceded her in death, and has one son Reno Rojales and two grandchildren.
