Srinivasa Rao Bandari was born in Rajumandry, Andra Pradesh, India. He was the only surviving male in his family with one sister still living in India. Srinivasa moved to America in 1972 embodying the American Dream. His family followed in 1973, and they settled in Atlanta, Georgia as Srinivasa developed a well-established career in electrical and design engineering. He was a notable figure in the eighties and nineties for his projects on behalf of the city of Atlanta still used today. These projects include development of the Atlanta Airport train systems, Phillips Arena Stadium, Savannah River Energy Plant, Atlanta Zoo Panda, Red Panda, and Asian exhibits, to name a few. His work and creative designs created a foundation for other electrical engineers who adopted Srinivasa’s techniques in order to provide light and enjoyment for Atlanta citizens with buzzing delight! Srinivasa moved across the world, motivated by the American dream, only to become a real success story inspiring his family to always follow their dreams.
